Major construction will commence in late 2023, with the project forecast for completion late 2025. The project will include a new wastewater pumping station and the construction of a new seven kilometre main which is expected to transfer. Pipeline The scope of the Richmond System Wastewater Upgrade (RSWU) works involves the upgrading and amplification of the North Richmond and Richmond wastewater network system including the transfer all flows to the Richmond WRP, as described below:

New funding aims to fix Richmond's outdated sewage system. Scheduled for completion in 2025, this is a 1.4 km wastewater extension to service an additional 2000 lots in a high growth. Our project sites in Richmond and North Richmond will be closed from Thursday 19 December 2024 and we will return to work on Monday 6 January 2025.
